Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez has admitted that the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 on Saturday at Allianz Arena would not be an easy one. He claimed that it will not be an easy task considering the quality the opposition has but
remained confident that Bayern are the favourites to win the clash.
Mario Gomez has recovered from the thigh injury and will be available for the Bundesliga clash against Freiburg this weekend. The striker has been declared fit and will play a part to make sure his side remains at the top of the
Bundesliga standings table.
The former Stuttgart striker claimed that the match is a difficult one and warned his team against complacency as Freiburg is a very good team and can put in some great performances on their day. He suggested that it is very important
for Bayern to win the game and continue with the winning momentum ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash against Villarreal next week.
“It certainly won't be easy, but we are the clear favourites and we should win the game. The only thing that counts for us is the success of the team. My 28 goals from last season are no use to us now,” he was quoted as saying.
The forward praised his side for the great displays in this season and wants to continue with the impressive showings. He admitted that the players are determined to win the Bundesliga and the German Cup this season and go far
in Europe’s premier club competition, the Champions League.
“Our last few performances have been very impressive. They didn't know how to cope with us, which made it all the more enjoyable from our point of view. We have to win the league and the DFB Cup and to get as far as we can in the
Champions League,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich are coming from a 3-0 win against FC Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga at the Fritz-Walter-Stadium to claim the top spot on the standings table.
