Reports in Munich suggest that Miroslav Klose of Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, is attracting interest from English Premier League sides Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. The prolific forward has been linked with a move away from Allianz Arena for a long
time.
Earlier on, Serie A side Juventus and La Liga outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-CF-c40864 were also reportedly interested in the veteran after it became clear that the German International wanted to leave the club. The 32-year-old is set to leave the club in the upcoming summer
transfer window after refusing to sign a one-year contract with the club. News of Klose’s imminent departure from the club had already alerted the likes of Juventus, Valencia and Tottenham. Everton manager, David Moyes, has now also joined the race to sign
the experienced player as he looks to improve his side’s attacking option ahead of the start of the next season.
The 2010/11 English Premier League season saw Everton struggle for fire-power at times. Furthermore, the attack was heavily reliant on last summer’s signing, Jermaine Beckford, who was playing his first season in the English Premier League. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Victor-Anichebe-c36018
also missed out several games due to injury while Yakubu was loaned out to English League side, Leicester City, in the January transfer window. Moyes has now identified Klose as the primary target for the upcoming transfer window.
Financial constraints at Goodison Park have been well documented this season but it has been suggested that the arrival of one of Europe’s most decorated players on a Bosman move could be a great bargain for the club – the club will only have to worry about
Klose’s wages. Reports suggest that Klose is looking for a two-year contract at any club that wishes to acquire him and might command a high salary. However, there is surely no shortage of admirers of the German International who has scored 14 goals in all
World Cups he has featured in, just one short of the tournament’s all-time top scorer, Brazilian legend Ronaldo.
