Bayern Munich to bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze, set to extend Mario Gomez’s contract
Bayern Munich are set to extend Mario Gomez’s contract and will also bid for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze during the winter. Both the players have been in terrific touch this season and Bayern are keen on playing both the stars together in future.
Gomez has already notched up eight goals so far this season and looks good to fight for the highest scorer award, which he also won at the end of the 2010/11 campaign. The German scored 28 goals last term and was closely followed by Freiburg’s Papiss Demba
Cisse, who netted 22 goals during the process.
The former Stuttgart attacker has also been at the centre of action this time around and was outstanding during 7-0 triumph over Freiburg. The German international scored four goals in that game.
The 26-year-old got injured in the game against Villarreal and as a result did not feature in the game against Schalke last Sunday.
