his last season did not go well due to injuries to some of the main players.
Louis Van Gaal was sacked at the end of the last campaign after a series of disappointing results which left the club fighting for the UEFA Champions League qualifying spot. The manager had guided the Bavarian giants to a domestic
double and to the final of the Champions League in the previous campaign.

“In http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, only negative stories about Van Gaal dominate. I think he did a great job. Our first season was unique. Many players were not playing to their best and others did not fit in with his philosophy,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
The Dutch international further added that many players did not like the manager’s straight forward approach and there were many differences which could be the reason for his eventual sacking.
“He was straight-forward and direct, that didn't fall well with all the players. I think we as a group and as individuals should be grateful to Van Gaal,” he continued.
Robben also had some words of praise for current manager Jupp Heynckes and hailed the former Bayer Leverkusen tactician’s impact on the team.
“Playing under Heynckes suits me well. He has a lot of experience, he is already 66. And in his dealings with the players, he is very relaxed,” he concluded.
Arjen Robben scored in the club’s 2-0 win over FC Zurich in a Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.
