Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has been pronounced fit to take part in the club’s next game against FC Zurich. The two sides are due to lock horns on Wednesday, August 17, at Allianz-Arena for the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie.
The injury prone winger was suffering from a back problem and missed out on his club’s 1-0 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 last Saturday. The Dutchman, though, took part in Bayern’s opening game of this year’s campaign against Borussia Monchengladbach, which the
Bavarians surprisingly lost.
Robben has been training hard with his team for the past two days and is expected to return to the final XI on Wednesday. The Dutchman’s return would certainly boost manager Jupp Heynckes’ side and will add strength in the midfield. Robben’s teammates also
expressed delight to see their ace winger fit again prior to an important encounter.
Manager Jupp Heynckes was all praise for his medical staff who assured of the player’s participation in the game against Zurich. He further mentioned that Bayern are well prepared for Wednesday’s encounter and would come out as definite winners on the night.
The manager was pleased to play the first leg at home in front of his own fans.
