Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben not thinking of signing a new contract with the club
Having recently returned from injury, Bayern Munich winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521, has denied thinking of signing a new deal with the club as yet. He reckoned that it's too early to think of a new deal without knowing if his services are still required at Allianz-Arena.
Robben was talking ahead of his club’s upcoming game away at Mainz. Both clubs will lock horns on Sunday, November 27, at Coface Arena. A win would help Bayern regain their top spot in the standings, having recently been taken over by the reigning champions,
Borussia Dortmund.
The player spent almost two months on the sidelines due to injury, only making a return last week against Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately, Robben didn’t prove as effective and ended up on the losing side.
However, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international featured in the midweek Champions League game against Villarreal, helping his club to a comfortable 3-1 win.
Robben expressed delight at his recovery and wished to play a major part in Bayern’s quest for trophies this season. He reckoned that the Reds are in decent form and could grab domestic silverware after waiting for so long.
The Dutchmen also revealed his desire of staying at Allianz-Arena for a long time. He told that it would be an honour for him to represent one of the top club’s in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 for a lengthy period. Robben, though, denied thinking of a new deal at this point
in time especially after returning from a long injury lay-off.
While talking to TZ, the winger further added:
"The club knows that I feel very good, and has also expressed confidence in me. But I just want to focus on football. I have often said that it is very family-orientated - unlike, for example, Real Madrid. Here you are all working in one place, you have
a lot of contact with the people, even with the fans.”
"You never know what'll happen in football. I do not want to look too far into the future." Robben concluded.
Die Roten have certainly been boosted by the player’s return, but the question remains: would Robben be able to express himself as he used to do before getting injured?
