Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben ruled out of VfL Wolfsburg’s game – Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 has been ruled out of Saturday’s trip to Wolfsburg due to his back problem. The player was in serious doubts after the game against Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday, which the Bavarians lost surprisingly by a 1-0 margin.
The Dutchman was also in doubt for that particular game but managed to start the season opener, only at the expense of aggravating his back problem.
Robben felt extremely disappointed after learning about his omission from Saturday’s game. He was left frustrated with his recurring back pain and urged the club’s medical staff to permanently relieve him of this problem.
The 27-year-old wished his team success against Die Wolfe and was delighted to see Franck Ribery back in the squad for Saturday’s game. The Frenchman missed last Sunday’s encounter against the Foals and also opted out of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871
in an international friendly.
Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes also felt bad for the ever committed winger and wished him a quick recovery prior to the club’s next game. Heynckes mentioned that Bayern have an important game coming up against FC Zurich on Wednesday, August 17, and the Dutch
international will definitely be required on the European stage. He told that the Bavarians could afford to leave him out against Wolfsburg but this can’t be the case against Zurich.
A statement on the club’s website read, "He has been ruled out because of back and adductor problems."
The manager urged his side to get their acts together ahead of Saturday’s trip to Volkswagen Arena. Heynckes warned his side against complacency especially after the shocking defeat at the hands of Monchengladbach in the season opener.
The former Bayer Leverkusen manager enthused that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 will once again be keeping the gloves in spite of him committing a blunder on Sunday that led to his team’s defeat. He also confirmed about the participation of Frenchman Ribery and at the same
time urged his side to go into the game with an attacking mindset.
Robben has managed 38 league games so far during his two-year span at the club, netting 28 goals in return. The player is expected to be fit for the club’s Champions League Preliminary round game against Zurich scheduled for Wednesday, August 17.
