Bayern Munich winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521, recently made a comeback after spending two months on the sidelines and wants to win trophies with the club this season. He also expressed grief on missing most part of this season’s first half but vowed to stay away from
injuries for rest of the term.
Robben was talking after his side’s emphatic 3-1 win over Villarreal in the Champions League. The latest win secured top spot for Die Roten in group A despite the game against Manchester City yet to be played.
The player returned to action last week against the reigning German champions, Borussia Dortmund, but unfortunately finished on the losing side.
However, he played a major role against Villarreal, guiding his side to a comfortable win. The Dutchmen was hailed by both officials and the fans, who urged him to work harder in order to gain complete match fitness.
Robben was of the view that Bayern could definitely lift the Bundesliga this season and wanted to play his part in their quest for silverware. He also gave his side a decent chance of winning the Champions League, especially when the final is scheduled to
be held at Allianz-Arena.
While talking to the club’s official website, the 27-year-old further mentioned:
"I want to have played an important role for the team by the time the trophies are handed out. The critical thing is regaining my rhythm. That’s what I’ll be concentrating on, even though we don’t have many matches left until the winter break. Once we’re
back from the holidays, I’m going to go for it. I’m already looking forward to it.”
"I’m coming closer and closer to 100 per cent again, but things went quicker last season. It’s been different this time. I’ve hardly trained but I’m already starting matches.” Robben added.
