The defender criticized the club for being dropped from the first team squad on a social networking website.
The Brazilian defender spent 12 days in jail after being accused of lighting his own house on fire. Breno was released after Bayern Munich paid the bail and has since been training with the reserves. Breno also faced visa issues when the Bavarian giants travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 for their training camp earlier this month.
The former Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431 player accused Bayern of ‘messing with him’ after he was ordered to train with the B-team this week. He stated that the club has not helped him in the time of crisis and he has had to deal with the distress all by himself.
However, club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge refuted the defender’s claims and insisted that Bayern could not have done more for the player and advised the player to take some responsibility. He revealed that the Brazilian has already offered his apology to manager Jupp Heynckes for his comments and has been warned of consequences if his behaviour remains the same.
“There was a talk between Jupp Heynckes and Breno. Breno admitted that the comments had been tweeted by himself and he has apologized. He should avoid doing this in future and I would give him a pale yellow card for this. Despite this unnecessary Twitter announcement, we will still support him,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The chief admitted that the player is still short of match practice and needs to get his form back ahead of the second phase of the campaign, and insisted that the club will keep offering support to him.
“Breno just needs match practice. Everything is spot on. Certainly Breno of all people cannot criticise the club or the coach given that we have done everything for him recently,” he concluded.
