Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is aiming for a place in final of this season’s UEFA Champions League. The player was talking ahead of Bayern’s next league fixture against Bayer Leverkusen, which is to take place on Saturday, September 24, at Allianz
Arena.
Ribery reckons that Bayern are not easy to beat especially with the current form they are in and predicted a gloomy weekend for the visiting Leverkusen side. He also added that the Bavarian giants will go all out against the Werkself in order to maintain
their position on top of the table. The player, at the same time, wished to be in the final of the Champions League next year, scheduled to take place at Allianz-Arena.
The French international told that the Reds have been training hard since losing their opening fixture to Borussia Monchengladbach and are unbeatable at the moment. He also had his sights fixed on the upcoming Champions League game against Manchester City,
hoping to overcome their opponents on Tuesday, September 27.
Ribery claimed that Bayern are firm favourites to make it to the final of Europe’s most prestigious tournament alongside a few big names like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Real Madrid and Manchester United. Die Roten currently lead the Champions League group A after their
2-0 win over Villarreal in the opening fixture. The Citizens, on the other hand, drew level with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 as both sides finished with a point each.
The Frenchman concluded his talks by saying, "The Champions League final at the Allianz Arena is the biggest target for all of us, and especially for me. But we shouldn't put ourselves under too much pressure. There's a long way to go this season, and we
should take it one step at a time. We’ve made a very good and successful start, and we have to build on that.”
"I'm very determined, and I'm aiming high with Bayern Munich. That's why I give everything I have in every match."
Bayern Munich are on top of the league table with 15 points from six games and will next be in action on Saturday against the Werkself.
