Bayern Munich’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 – Bundesliga news
After spending most of the last season on treatment tables, Bayern Munich striker Ivica Olic is looking forward to make a return in the club’s next league game against Hertha Berlin.
The striker has been out of action for a long time and Mario Gomez had to shoulder the attacking responsibilities. The Croatian recently made a return from injury and was seen training with the Bavarian outfit. He was out with a torn thigh muscle but has
now been passed fit to play by the club’s medical staff.
Olic’s absence gave Nils Petersen a chance to exhibit his skills in front of the officials after joining in the summer from Energie Cottbus. The youngster has taken no time at all to adapt to the Bavarian setup with exceedingly great performances whenever
asked to perform.
The player expressed delight at the availability of a player like Petersen and considers him a bright prospect for the future. He also showed pleasure on his return to training after a long layoff and vowed to form a perfect partnership upfront with Mario
Gomez.
The 32-year-old reckons that Bayern are an incomplete side without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 whose outstanding reflexes have enabled him
to keep a clean sheet in 11 successive games.
While talking to a local newspaper on his return, Olic enthused, "When Arjen is fit, he would play in any team in the world. He is on the same level as (Lionel) Messi and (Cristiano) Ronaldo. I have never seen as good a goalkeeper as Manuel Neuer in all
of my life. For me, he is the best in the world."
The striker landed at Allianz-Arena in 2009 and has 12 league goals under his belt from 37 appearances. He made his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 debut in 2002 and has 14 goals to his name from 73 international caps.
