Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez ready to extend his stay at Allianz-Arena- Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is considering an extension to his contract with the German club. The German bomber has an ongoing deal with Die Roten that runs beyond 2013, but Bayern are eager to tie him down on a longer deal.
Manager Jupp Heynckes believes that the striker could do wonders for his side and can help them win trophies all by himself. He confirmed about Gomez’s contract extension, wishing to keep the player beyond his current deadline. The manager was all praise
for the German international, who has proved his worth this season yet again, grabbing the most number of goals so far after six league games.
The player himself expressed delight after learning about his possible contract extension. Gomez reserved praise for his manager who has given him a free hand at the club. The former Stuttgart striker reckons that had Heynckes not allowed him to play freely,
he might not have had success and fluency in his displays.
While talking to the local website, former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 player enthused, “Why should I think of not renewing or going away when I feel so good here? I guess I may stay beyond 2013. I don’t know when you speak about renewal, but I am willing to discuss it.”
Apart from Gomez, the Bundesliga giants are also considering a bid for Borussia Dortmund teenager, Mario Gotze, during the January transfer window. The youngster has been in phenomenal form this season as was the case last time around, and could be on his
way to Allianz-Arena during winters.
Meanwhile, Gomez is certain to extend his stay at the club. The striker has 46 goals to his name from 66 league appearances thus far but his troublesome groin makes him a doubt against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
