Bayern Munich’s Philipp Lahm insists the side can compete with the best in the world
Bayern Munich skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 has insisted that his side can now compete with the best clubs in the world. He claimed that this would not have been the case a few years back but now Bayern is on par with the likes of Barcelona
and Real Madrid. He stated that the difference between the teams in Germany and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 has almost finished and it is the same case with the national teams also.
Bayern Munich have had a great start to the season in Europe and have won their Group-A and qualified for the next round. The team has performed brilliantly in which was widely being regarded as the ‘Group of Death’ with the likes

Lahm stated that Bayern Munich has now become a huge force in European football and their recent performances have shown that they can beat the best in the business. He admitted that the same could not have been said ten years
back when the German sides were struggling in European competitions.
“A few years ago, we would have said that out of 10 games against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, we would lose nine. But now the situation is a little different,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to German newspaper Bild.
The German international also praised the display of the national side in this year and insisted that Die Mannschaft are surely the favourites to win the European Championships in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 next year. He remained confident
that the Germans will humble teams like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 and Spain to take glory in the competition.
“We are close to it now. And it's exactly the same with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 and Spain. I have the same feeling I do in Bavaria as I do with Germany: we can strike down these big teams,” he concluded.
Die Mannschaft qualified for the Euro 2012 with a perfect record after winning all ten games in the campaign. They have been in great form recently also as they drew 3-3 against next year’s hosts Ukraine and comprehensively defeated
Netherlands 3-0 at the Imtech Arena in November.
