Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller plays down Arjen Robben competition
Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller has played down competition from teammate Arjen Robben. The player claimed that every player has to work hard for his place in the team and that it is up to the manager to decide which player
will be in the starting line-up and who will be on the bench.

Muller claimed that he has never seen Arjen Robben as his competitor at the club. The midfielder stated that he learns a lot from the Dutchman in training and insisted that the two players can play in the same team with a slightly
different formation. He added every player has to work hard for his place in the squad and Robben has nothing to prove.
“I've never seen Arjen as competition. I see him as my team-mate. We don't want to be slandered for distorting the competition. Therefore, we will work hard,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
