Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness has tipped Germany to win the European Championships, to be held in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 next year. The chief insisted that Die Mannschaft have come a long way in the last two years and are fully
equipped now to lift the trophy despite strong competition from the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
Germany have been drawn in to potentially the ‘Group of Death’ with teams like Netherlands, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984. They have had a sensational year and were one of the first sides to qualify for the competition after winning all
the matches in the qualifying round.
Hoeness claimed that Joachim Low’s side are well capable of downing any team in the world and have the class in their squad to compete at the highest level. He admitted that the group is a difficult one for the team but remained
confident that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 will definitely qualify for the next round.
“I said before that it does not matter who Germany get in the group. It turned out to be the hardest they could get. But I personally believe that Germany are currently the best team in Europe and have a good chance of winning
the European title,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Bavarian striker also had some words for Bayern Munich and expressed his delight that the team had won the group, which had some of the best teams from Europe. He stated that the knock-out stage could be easy for the
Munich giants but it could be very difficult after that as Barcelona and Real Madrid are huge threats.
“As for FC Bayern, we have reached the next round. Now the draw is coming up before Christmas, when we will be placed against group runners-up. But then come a team like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 or Real Madrid. You can imagine how difficult this
would be,” he concluded.
The President admitted that it would be great if Bayern Munich reach the final of the UEFA Champions League this season as the final will be played at the Allianz Arena, which is the home ground of the former German champions.
