The 22-year old admitted that he has to go a long way and there is pressure on him as there are huge expectations. But the forward remained confident of a good season ahead and reiterated the fact that he would want to be the new Miroslav Klose.
“I'm reserved by nature and I haven't achieved anything yet in Munich, so I'm not in any position to be bigging myself up. But I want to follow in Klose's footsteps, when my time comes,” he concluded.
Petersen had a sensational season with Energie Cottbus and scored 25 times in his 33 appearances in the 2.Bundesliga and was the highest goal scorer for the campaign.
