http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. Bayern Munich surprised the football world when they thrashed the former European champions with a
4-0 scoreline with Thomas Muller, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 and Mario Gomez finding the net for the home side.
The defender admitted that his side is capable of winning against any side in the world and is looking forward to playing in the final of the Champions League. He insisted that the team played brilliantly and the defensive performance
was fantastic. He pointed out that Barcelona were weak in the air which Bayern took advantage of.
“Of course I can comprehend what happened today! We have the potential to beat any team. Our defensive performance was close to perfection, that was the key to our success today. It is a well known fact that Barcelona have problems
in the air,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, teammate Javi http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468 stressed that Bayern were better than Barcelona in every aspect of the game and hailed his side’s sensational performance. The Spanish international stated that his side should underestimate
the former champions as they downed AC Milan at home also in the second-leg. He wants the team to be equally prepared for the battle and is hopeful of reaching the final.
“We took advantage of set-pieces and felt comfortable despite having to run lots which Barcelona make you do. If it was another team you might feel confident [in the 2nd leg] but this is Barca who have beaten AC Milan 4-0. We've
played a lot of good games this season, so I'm not sure if this is the best,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich signed Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze earlier this week. The young midfielder would join the German champions at the end of the season as the Reds met his buy-out clause with Dortmund. Bayern will be even stronger
next season as they will be under Pep Guardiola.
