The league leaders’ game improved following the goal from Thomas Muller, and were in cruise control after going 2-0 up thanks to star striker Mario Gomez

Bayern Munich team trainer Jupp Heynckes insisted that the Bavarian giants played better after netting the first goal. He further added that his side started dominating when Gomez added another goal to secure a win for the Allianz Arena outfit. He said that
Bayern rose to the challenge and took maximum points from their trip to SGL Arena.
The defeat sees the home team stay at the bottom of the table at 17th position, but their head coach Markus Weinzierl was not too disappointed with the result. He congratulated their Bavarian neighbours and claimed that
they were worthy of a win. He said Der FCB did well throughout the 90 minutes and he has no regrets about the outcome.
The manager stated that his side played good football at the start of the match and posed threat for the Bundesliga giants. He suggested that they were well prepared to contain the attacking prowess of Die Roten. He admitted that
his team was not afraid to take on Bayern and did not even use negative tactics of defending the whole game.
“Congratulations to FC Bayern. Taking the full 90 minutes into account we have no complaints about the result, and it’s a deserved win. We gave a very, very good account of ourselves in the first-half," he added.

"We were extremely well set up to deal with our opponents, we didn’t look for a hiding place, and we didn’t want to pull everyone back. A goalless draw at half-time would have been deserved, but they were awarded the penalty, and goals like that really hurt
you. We still came out for the second-half with high hopes and good intentions,” he stated.
Weinzierl conceded that it should have been 0-0 until the first-half but commented that Bayern claimed a penalty, and his side could not recover after that. However, the boss added that they were confident of getting something
out of the match, but failed in their attempts of getting at least a draw.
