The former FC Koln attacker claimed Bayern Munich’s disappointing loss in the UEFA Champions League final will not affect the German national team.
The Bavarian giants lost their second European final in three years after they suffered a loss at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at the Allianz Arena last week. The Germans dominated the proceedings and missed a host of chances to go ahead.

Podolski claimed that the Bayern players are heavily disappointed after the loss and admitted that getting over it would not be easy. The winger added that he can feel the disappointment as FC Koln also suffered relegation this
season but insisted that the players have to live with that as there are ups and downs in football.
“It is difficult to find ways to say things to them now. Personally I had to deal with it as well. I was relegated (this year) and you have to live with that. In sports there are ups and downs,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 has a great chance of lifting the European championship this season as they are a much balanced side than the team that played in the World Cup in 2010. He remained confident of

“The last few tournaments we were happy with semi-final finishes but we are that good now and have developed well in the past few years to be able to say that we will challenge for the title. We need to be on fire in that first
game and the pitch needs to light up,” he concluded.
Germany will play http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 in their opening game of the Euro 2012. The game will be played on June 9 at the Arena Lviv in Ukraine.
