The experienced midfielder is all set to make a return to action after a long layoff, when the Bundesliga action resumes on Friday.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 has made a complete recovery from his long term collar-bone injury, and is all set to make a return to action in Friday’s game against Borussia Monchengladbach on January 20. The midfielder has been out of
action for the last two months after he suffered from the injury in the UEFA Champions League clash against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in November.
The German international was part of Bayern’s training camp in Doha during the winter break, and participated in all of the club’s practice games prior to coming back to Germany.
However, the player recently suffered a slight niggle on his knee during training, but is expected to be included in the starting XI on Friday. Schweinsteiger added that it is not a serious injury, and things are expected to get
better before the second-half opener.
While talking to reporters ahead of the crucial tie, the 27-year-old further mentioned:
"It looks good for 'Gladbach, I have no worries, but of course I want to get back to top form quickly. I practised (on Wednesday). It was quite good. I'm not worried, but I want to be in my best shape when I start the match.”
On the other hand, the midfielder admitted that Gladbach will not be easy opponents, while playing at home, and Bayern will have to be on their toes from the first minute. The midfielder admitted of Reus’ threat, but also urged
his side to be aware of the players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mike-Hanke-c25699.
"It will not be an easy game. They have some high quality players, not just Reus. There's (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 striker Mike) Hanke for instance, but it's clear the we have a lot more quality in the squad.
If we show our quality on the pitch, then we will win." Schweinsteiger concluded.
The four-time Bundesliga winner has so far made 11 league appearances this season, bagging two goals in return. He missed the last six league games due to injury, and will play a pivotal role in Bayern’s bid to win their record
23rd Bundesliga crown.
