Baytown Boss to strike a hat trick in Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Stayers Final at Sheffield on 12th March
The Grade IR Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Stayers Final is to be staged at Sheffield over 660 metres flat on Monday, 12th March. The lineup comprises of On Stage Lizzy, Tohill Joy, Blame Tee Nine, Fairytales, Baytown Boss and Proper Brenny. The six will
invade the track for the £350 prize money.
The most highly accomplished hound on the lineup who promises victory tonight is Baytown Boss, Razldazl Billy’s four-year black son out of b***h Springwell Sue. After suffering through some rough patches initially, Baytown Boss got hold of the field on 6th
February in a Grade A2 500 metres Flat at Sheffield by clocking the distance in 30.74 seconds and leading the track by 3 ¼ lengths.
The runner up of the race was Cheetham Fantasy while finishing third was Teds Style.
After striking the seasonal debut, Baytown Boss got hold of the next start too. He won a Grade A2 500 metres Flat at Sheffield after reaching the other side of the wire in 29.65 seconds. The 2/1 favourite winner led by 1 ¼ lengths.
Racing the closest and joining the winner on the other end soon was Westmore Kid and taking up the third slot of the race was Romeo Captain.
He was not lucky enough to strike a hat trick as on 21st February, Baytown Boss came fourth in the Night Continues At Napoleons Casino at Sheffield over 500 metres. The race was won by Ballymackey Ace.
He composed himself and excelled in the last two races that came his way. On 27th February, Baytown Boss won a 660 metres race at Sheffield by clocking the track distance in 40.07 seconds and taking the lead of the track by 2 ¼ lengths.
Qualifying as the runner up of the race was On Stage Lizzy.
His most recent victory was in the Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Stayers Heat 1 on 8th March at Sheffield over 660 metres. The 2/5 favourite winner of the race was through the distance in 39.83 seconds and escaped defeat by a narrow margin of a head’s
difference.
Tohill Joy was the runner up while Fairytales was positioned third.
