hi how can i get vids off bbc iplayer and on to media so i can keep them for more than the week limet

You need to run the file through a program, but if the file has expired though, i dont think you cant do it.

I don't know if it will work as the bbc iplayer does not work in my area. but i can download from youtube and other sites with an add in i got with firefox.

You can't, try downloading them from the bbc's youtube account.
