Be Real tops the chart in the PRIMUS TELECOM PUPPY DERBY TRIALSTAKES at Henlow on Jan 19
It was a good day for, Be Real, who finished first in the PRIMUS TELECOM PUPPY DERBY TRIALSTAKES, taken place at Henlow on Thursday, January 19, 2012.
The son of Droopys Maldini out of Droopys Bridie was the most favourite hound with the winning chances of 1 to 2. The black dog did not let his supporters down, crossing the wire in just 28.97 seconds.
He did not lead in the beginning, but a strong finish guided him to a massive 3 ½ lengths victory. His trainer, D Mullins, would have been a jubilant man after a brilliant run by his dog.
The winning hound was chased by Doobys Gone West, the son of Ballymac Ruso out of Little Diva. The runner-up made it to the post in 29.25 seconds, after starting his run from the third stall.
C. Allsopp’s trainee was carrying the odds of 7 to 1. He quickly went away, but a thumping finish by Be Real, outclassed him.
The top third place was seized by Farneys Mark, M Daniels’ trained dog, who was holding the betting odds of 8 to 1.
He recovered well after a bumped start, and crossed the finish line in 29.39 seconds, 1 ¾ lengths short of the runner-up.
Swift Reagan finished fourth on the table with the covering time of 29.45 seconds. It was a bumped start for him as well, but unlike Farneys Mark, he could not perk up his pace and got crowded.
Trained by M A Wallis, the son of Hometown Boy Nga out of Swift Babe was holding the winning chances of 12 to 1, the lowest by any participant in the race.
The fifth position went to Loughside Jack, whereas Confident Ramona emerged as the back marker.
With the odds of 8 to 1, Loughside Jack, the son of Eskimo Jack out of Fantastic, kicked off the race from the second stall, completing the distance in 29.50 seconds.
Confident Ramona, the sole female hound in the competition, reached the finishing line in 29.67 seconds, completing the order of finish.
The black b***h, trained by M A Wallis, began her run from the fourth stall, grabbing the betting odds of 6 to 1.
Be Real has won both 460 metre long races, he has run so far. He pocketed £150 this time, collecting a lot of praise from his fans and connections.
