Be honest. Do you REALLY think the Spurs is a boring team?

Be real, do you really think they're a boring team to watch or are you just tired of them being a dynasty and ready for them to fall? Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker are amazing to watch! I mean some ppl just try to find anything they can to use as an excuse to hate them. They say Ginobili "flops" like he's the only one who does it, then they say Bruce Bowen is a dirty player(and I agree) but thats no reason to hate the team.

Nope, they are the true example of how basketball should be played....I mean it's not like it's always as exciting to watch as other teams, but when they play their best its always good to watch...they just defend extremely well and have a pretty efficient offense

Boring is an understatement. The NBA Finals rating between the Spurs and the Cavs 2 years ago was a dismal, it's one of the lowest rating ever. Not even LeBron James can help that cause. The NBA casual fans don't even care about the Spurs period, the casual fans only care about the Lakers or the Celtics and not so much about the Spurs or most of other teams.

i dont hate the spurs, and parker and ginobli are exciting players, duncans not exciting but he is efficient. bowens not a dirty player, any one that calls him dirty just wishes they play d like him. theyre just boring to watch because they have a lot of 30+ year old players who are very fundamental, never do anything cool like parker and ginobli. so yes, they are boring.

The Spurs are dull to watch because they run the same plays over and over. They do not play fast break ball, and do not rely on quick ball movement to score. It's get it into the post, flick it back out on the double to the open man, shoot.

If this breaks it down, go to tony or manu for the isolation play drive to the hoop.

They're great players and a great team, but you know what you're getting. There's no excitement.

Well defense wins championships but when you look at the Spurs they are just plain boring. The Celtics had great defense when they won the championship but they were entertaining at the same time with there explosive offense in Allen, Garnett, and Pierce. So yes they are boring.

No way! Ginobili is the most exciting player to watch in the NBA. A play I will never forget that sums up his game for me comes from gm2 in 2005 vs. the suns. it was a close game with less than 2 minutes left when he unleashed this insane behind the back move.

Man the Spurs are not boring by any stretch of the imagination.

People just say that sh*t because they don't have flashy personalities, team fueds, or a marque player that has his own collection of shoe commercials.

The Spurs from a basketball stand point are beautiful to watch. They are balanced offensively, play top 3 defense in the league every year, and every one of those guys only play to win. They are all unselfish.

Look at Ginobli, an all-star caliber player, who can get to the rim just as good as Dwayne Wade, shoot the three, plays great defense (flopping included) yet HE COMES OFF THE BENCH! What other player in the league with that kind of talent (besides Barbosa or Gordon) willing comes off the bench?

What other guard can get to the rim and finish like Tony Parker? None! They guy for a couple years shot like 50-55% from the feild because he finishes in the lane so much! That's extremely unusual for a 6'2" 180 pound point guard.

Oh yeah, didn't even get to Tim Duncan yet. But we all know what Timmy is about. Automatic in the post and an anchor in the paint. Nothing flashy just results, like a true big should be. The dude spreads the wealth to his teammates, yet I bet he could still average 25 points a game if they needed him to.

The Spurs can grind it out for a 87-75 win, or they can run an up tempo team out of the gym. The Spurs can play any style.  

So anyway, I'm rambling, but like I said, if the Spurs had a player that had Nike commercials running after every time out, or if Tim Duncan rapped about how David Robinson's *** tasted or how he couldn't win a title without him, or Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria, then I bet the Spurs would be the "most fun" team in league.

The boringest!! Honestly I watch their games and it kills me especially when the play my Suns because they turn them into a slow pace BORING team and I almost can't even watch them I fall asleep. Its torture. Dude I will give you though that I love Duncan and think he is incredible an Parker completely embarrassed the Suns this last time we met, they just couldn't stop him.....................Ginobili is still a Butt Head and FLOPS like crazy though you just can't denie that.

well i have had a problem with them ever since robert horry made that three-pointer in the 2005 finals against my favorite team the pistons.

now to answer your question. i know they're not the most exciting team, but the fact is they are one of the most talented. look at their bench! it's like it's more stacked than their starters.

and don't worry! the spurs are an aging team. so if you don't want to see them in the finals anymore, don't worry because it's only a metter of years.

personally, i like seeing the spurs in the playoffs (but not the fina;s, i'm tired of that), and tim duncan is my favorite pauer on that team.

People only think they are boring because they don't have loud mouth gangsters with a high vertical who dunk it with tricks. They just do one handed dunks and behind the back passes. They are the team everyone hates and I won't lie I hate them but they play fundamentals thats why Tim Duncan is the Big Fundamental. Go Blazers

Honestly it's boring- but hey it's effective- so can't hate on that.  There are games where they make it into a dirty grind out game and those games involve a lot of fouls and kind of drags out.  That's just an honest opinion- and honestly if they weren't playing my Lakers- or i wasn't such an NBA fan (like in the playoffs) i'd prefer to watch another team.  i'll watch if there's an important game on the line standings wise- but they aren't my first team of preference though i have much respect for their organizations and players.

They look boring only to the un-train eye.  They play sound offense.  They execute play flawlessly.  If boring mean executing your play and converting them and winning championship then yes they are boring.
