Question:

Be honest: Does a person's skin colour matter to you?

Just answered a question on skin colour, made me wonder. I know a girl (white) who will only date black men, so this is even a kind of positive racialism through personal preference, and we're often hearing stories of gangs of kids attacking other gangs with racial motives.

I just don't get it, ther are enough problems out there without causing one because of someones skin colour, isn't there?

  1. I never judge a person by their skin colour - men are equally attractive or unattractive regardless of race

  2. THIS IS A FANTASTIC QUESTION, YOUR BRINGING TO LIGHT THE RACISM THAT THIS COUNTRY DOES,NT NEED WE BRITISH DONT OWN MOST OF THE WORLD ANY MORE AND RIGHTLY SO WE ALL LIVE TOGETHER AND RIGHTLY SO. THE MUSLIMS DOWN MY SHOP ARE THE LOVELIEST PEOPLE I KNOW MY SON SEES A BLACK MAN AND HE DOES.NT SAY ANYTHING AND ROUND HERE ITS MOSTLY WHITE PEOPLE I TAUGHT HIM THE DIFFERENCE, AND THAT IS WE ARE ALL THE SAME.

  3. Honestly???....No, not at all.

  4. we all have the same colour blood... one heart! skin colour don't matter!

  5. no, not really.  i just personally find white men attractive and some middle eastern men.  it's my own personal attraction.  each to their own right?

  6. Of course it matters to people its like a car everyone has their favorite car color.

  7. it doesnt matter to me, not at all. Skin colour means nothing, its your soul that counts.

  8. there isnt really such thing is 'positive racism'. racism is racism, and its never a good thing. racism is basing your opinion on something due to their ethnicity and discriminating/treating them differently from how you would anyone else. even if youre treating them better than others, theyll still feel awkward because they know its because of their race.

i love everyone of every colour, most of the time i dont even notice the color of someones skin.

  9. I think lots of people have preference when it comes to finding a partner, it's like food everybody likes different things don't they? we all have our fave foods. So I don't think it's bad that people prefer certain skin colours when dating as long as there is no hidden agenda there of course.

My hubby is black british, I was very attracted to him when we met because he is very funny, kind, tall and muscular because I find that attractive. I found his skin tone attractive too because he has such big brown eyes and the fact that his skin is dark just makes him look, well, gorgeous!

I have been with white guys, olive skinned guys etc and I am always attracted to demenour first and then looks, when you fall in love you love all of that person including what colour they are.

When I first meet someone I don't see black, white, Brown, yellow or purple or whatever it never crosses my mind. I just see a person.

  10. not at all why should it right?

I think it is based on hate, jealousy, stupidity and ignorance

  11. No i don't have any racial issues, in fact i'm jealous in some ways! You never get an ugly black/asian baby do you!?

Asian women have such lovely skin and hair and a lovely warm tone to their skin

Black women got soul and sometimes the most beautiful facial features!

I've dated a few black men and they are perfect gentlemen from my experience

  12. the only skin color I would have a problem with is neon purple.... god I hate neon purple. So I guess if aliens actually exist and their neon purple....

  13. It is the quality of the person that matters, what they believe in, what they do that really matters.

Skin is only that--the outside covering.

  14. Skin colourring is caused by the varying amount of the pigment melanin in the skin, so as long as somebody match the other criteria I look for in a partner, then skin colour would not be a problem in any way at all.

  15. the media always cares about skin colour. whoever i meet and they are of a different skin colour than i , wouldn't hate them just because of that. it matters how the persons treats you, thats what i care about. at least this is my case, thought it does matter to other people.

if you're talking about love(which i reckon obviously), then that is really different than just meeting someone as friends, then yea it does matter BUT its your preference only!! its understandable that doesnt mean you're a bloody racist. but if u find love with someone then u fine love with them irregardless of race. love has no boundries. haha.

  16. Pink and brown I can handle.  I also known an albino with truly white skin and an Ethiopian girl with really black skin.  Green or silver might worry me.

  17. I don't think so.

  18. It doesn't matter to me as far as being friends or treating someone the same.

I perfer someone like myself for a serious love relationship but that's what I like.

  19. All depends on the person. What bothers me is the overkill - some people just play the racists card every now and again to achieve more benefits.

Oh, yeah, I also find the blue skin quite disturbing...

  20. it doesn"t bother me in the least, i have friend"s from all races, and we should all be treat equally, but there"s a sad fact in today"s society that there"s racism and always will be
