So Emma is ten months old and I still failed to lose ten pounds I gained with her. Now I am pregnant so....not really much hope.

How much do you still have to lose? How old is your baby?

  1. 10 pounds is nothing. Im 2 and a 1/2 months postpartem and need to lose 10 more pounds untill im back to me prepregnancy weight. Your good, trust me!

  2. I lost all 60 pounds I gained with Matthias within a month - breastfeeding and walks in the park did wonders for me.

    He's 3.5 months old now.

  3. I have lost all my baby weight, plus a few pounds.  How?  I have no idea.  I haven't dieted, or exercised (other than walking around like crazy at work).  My daughter is 11 months and I lost all the weight by the time she was about 8 months.  But my body looks COMPLETELY different, and I look as if I haven't lost any weight at all! :(

  4. Hello.Drink plenty of fluids, especially water and fruit juices.Avoid junk food and drinks, and get in the habit of reading labels. In general, avoid swallowing anything that isn't food. This list includes preservatives, dyes, and artificial flavoring and sweeteners.

  5. I gained a total of 50lbs, and 3.5 months later, I have 10lbs to go.  I lost most of it within the first month postpartum, now it just wants to stay on me.

  6. i am not taht far from my pre preggo weight but my hips are wider. plus i had a c section so i still have scar tissue under my scar which is hard and pushed my tummy out even more. my daughter is almost 8 months

  7. I lost all 11 lbs I gained with Katrina, however after I lost it I gained 20 more due to night feedings and snackings.....grumble.  So now I have a bigger body for number two which is due in January....At least I know I'm capable of loosing weight at all.  My sister can't!

  8. well let's see i weighed about 100 pounds when i had my son and now he's 2. i currently weight 125. i've tried everything i can think of from pills to diets and much more but for some reason the weight won't go off, it's still there. but i've decided to become happy about my weight and  not worry about losing anymore for now.  my hubby still thinks i'm sexi and that's all that matters to me.

  9. my daughter is 13 mos old and i have about 15 lbs to go..

but my hips are wider though, i fit my pre-pregnancy clothes now (tops and dresses) except for my jeans because my hips got wider..i guess thats normal after giving birth...

  10. I gained 60 pounds total with our first child.  I lost about 15 after he was born.  A year later I still hadn't lost anymore weight when I got pregnant with our second child.  I only gained 13 pounds.  I lost all of that by the time I left the hospital, so I was right back where I started (still 45 pounds heavier than before the first child).  We unexpectedly got pregnant with our third only 5 months after our second child was born.  I gained 25 with him and lost about 20 after having him (he just turned one).  So, to make a long story short, I'm still trying to lose weight about 40 pounds from my FIRST child almost 4 years later.  lol

  11. My baby is 3 months and I'm still 20 lbs heavier than before I got pregnant.  I gained 40 lbs with the pregnancy.  I have worried also about not losing the weight before I get pregnant again.  Don't lose hope, though.  You can still diet after this baby is born.

  12. Oh Girl, I'm right there with you!  My son is 11 months old and I've still got those last pesky 10lbs or so that are hanging on for dear life!  I was 115-120lbs before I got pregnant, I gained 35lbs and now I'm right around the 130lbs mark.  I know exactly what it's from too...I am so addicted to french fries.  When I first started nursing my son I found out very quickly that any fried foods upset his little belly and I cut them right out.  At that point I was down to about 123lbs.  Then I tested the waters when he was about 3 months old and it didn't seem to bother him any longer so I kind of started to indulge again.  Whoops.  I'm starting back to work in a little over a month and I don't want to have to buy a whole new wardrobe over 10lbs so I have been a little better about watching what I'm eating lately but admittedly I still have a ways to go.  Willpower, don't fail me now!

  13. I had less than five pounds to lose before I became pregnant for the second time.  My son is 2 1/2 years old & I am 3 months pregnant.  I'm don't obsess too much over weight.. however, I do plan to join a gym after I have this baby:)

  14. i weigh about 4 pounds less than before i got pregnant he is 16 months but i've weighed the same since he was about 6 months old. i only gained 26 pounds though and i'm still nursing him

BTW 10 pounds isn't bad- i know people who gainedd about 70 pounds and only lost 20 of it so dont feel bad

  15. My son is 11 months old and I still have 25 pounds to lose. I have actively started dieting and exercising this past week, and I'm hoping to be back down to my original 120 pounds by Christmas. I gained about 42 pounds while pregnant, and lost 20 within the first month.

  16. My daughter is almost five months.  I gained a little over 40 with the pregnancy and I am still about 10 pounds heavier than pre-pregnancy.  I don't look like I was ever pregnant though, I just look slightly heavier than before.  Besides the fact that none of my old pants fit I don't care, I like the new curvy me! :-)

  17. I was 143 before pregnancy and weigh between 155-160.  My son is 16 months old.  So, I'm still 10-15 pounds heavier than I was, though I also started my pregnancy being 20 or so pounds over weight, so really I am 30-35 pounds heavier than my ideal body weight.  That's what I get for being short, isn't it?  :)

  18. My eldest is 4 and i am still about 20 pounds heavier than before i had her. I lost everything i put on with my 2nd but am still heavier than before i had any children I have decided to accept my new figure, its still slim enough, there is just a little more of it now LOL!

  19. I'm with you!  Only my son is 14 months and I have about 10 lbs left.

  20. Im at the same weight I was before I had her..I don't tend to gain or lose weight I stay at the same weight :( and Im fat

  21. when i had my daughter i gained about 65 lbs and it took me till she was about 8 months before i finally lost it all and that was only because i had started waitressing. i gained about 60 lbs with my son and he is now 5 months and i still have about 10-15 to loose. i doubt i will though cuz i just dont care anymore. im happy with my body as it is.

  22. Don´t stress, you have enough to worry about.  Realistically it can take up to a year to lose the weight so make sure you eat healthily, don´t try and lose weight but don´t eat junk.

  23. my daughter is 4 1/2 months and I have lost all of the 20 lbs I gained with her but I still have about 20 more that I wanted to lose before I got pregnant.

  24. I gained 20 lbs with our baby and lost the weight within leaving the hospital...not sure how that worked but it just happened..now he's almost 8 months old and Im just as skinny as I was when I was in highschool..

Im 30 years old..Im also 5'9..nobody thinks I look like I have a baby until we have him with us!

I eat well and no red meat..I exercise but not regularly so not sure what Im doing but all my family are a bunch of tall thinner ppl...so Im sure that counts..You asked for honesty so there you are!

10 lbs is nothing! Im sure you look great and you should be proud! Also if you're pregnant again why worry about it?? just enjoy your pregnancy and eat right and take care of yourself and you will be good to go!!!!

  25. Let's see, I was 131 when I got pregnant with Em, I weighed 176 the day I went into labor, and I weight 145 now. So Em is 6 months old and I still have 14 pounds to lose. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but having a desk job makes it that much more difficult!

  26. Honestly?  I gained 85lbs. when I got pregnant, but I lost 45lbs. within the first two weeks.  I hit a plateau after that, but if I can manage to lose 10 more pounds, I'll be happy with my size.  However, my baby is only 5 weeks old, so I'm not too worried.

  27. I was 190 when I got pregnant.  I was 210 when I delivered my son via c-section.  I was sick the first 16 weeks of the pregnancy with nausea / vomiting and lost 9 lbs (down to 181).   Within a few weeks after his birth, I was back down to 190 lbs.  My son is 4 1/2 months and I now weigh 175, but my shape is completely different - my waist is thicker, my lower belly is poochier, etc... And keep in mind that 10 lbs is harder to lose on someone close to their ideal weight / BMI, than someone like me who is still a good 30 lbs over my ideal weight :(

Just think - you have a good chance to lose all the baby weight you gained with both pregnancies and back to your pre-pregnancy weight by chasing after your toddlers!   Congrats on the baby and baby-in-waiting!  Don't worry about weight right now - just eat healthy and take care of yourself.  On nice days take the pram out for a stroll with your 10 month old - burn some calories, get some fresh air, and bond with your 10 month old before the new baby arrives all at once!

  28. Well, I'm down to the weight I was before I caught with our first child but still have 2 stone to lose before I feel comfortable again.  :-((
