Question:

Beach Graduation Question?

Our theme for our Kindergarten Graduation this year is a beach theme. Does anyone have any ideas of any songs or poems that would be easy for kindergarteners to learn that go with that theme? Also what decorations would be cute?

  1. How about all wear Hawaiian shirts or have each child bring her parents a lei to say thank you for the year.  That would be sweet.

You could have them sing along with or maybe just play Israel Kamakawiwo Ole's version of Somewhere over the rainbow.

This is sure to bring some tears and it's easy enough to learn the words and the version fits with the theme.  You could add rainbow colored scarves or ribbons to wave as they sing for effect.

They could also sing Kokomo...That would be cute..

I suggest playing the Beach Boys' When I Grow Up To Be a Man even if it's too hard to sing..It works with the beach theme and a graduation so well.

Cute decorations could be light beach umbrellas hung upside down from the ceiling or yellow paper suns with a picture of each child and a sign that says something like "A future so bright it hurts my eyes" or "You are my sunshine" to show how much the children meant to the teachers and their parents.

There is so much more you could do with this! Good Luck, I'm sure it'll be wonderful!!!

  2. haiwaiin roller coaster ride it would be cute but just sing the parts that are easy the rest are all hawaiin words and are hard to pernounce

just sing the parts that go theres no place id rather be and so on and so forth hope this helps
