Beach Wedding Checklist?

Hi we are getting married abroad and would really love some idea's as to a Checklikst. We are thinking of staying at sheraton sand key in clearwater and could have up to 300 guest for the ceremony. We live in the uk and have family coming from uk, us and africa. Just a simple checklist of things i must remember would be fab. dont care how much info just need ideas :0)

  1. WWW.theknot.com is a wonderful website, I am usign it for my destination wedding checklist. You can add other things that may not be on the checklist that are personal to your wedding.  In some wedding magazine books they have checklists as well if your not always near a computer or would prefer to write things down.     Here is a list that is geared towards destination weddings. They can be a little difficult to plan from far away - but a lot of people choose to get wedding planners to help; plus the internet makes it easier now a days to plan.

    Hopefully this will help:

    6 MONTHS TO A YEAR BEFORE THE WEDDING

    ___ Announce your engagement

    ___ Choose a wedding date

    ___ Choose a wedding location

    ___ Research the location, including using online resources, renting books from the library, purchasing books, talking to the local tourist bureau, and talking to friends and family who have been there. Ask resorts for "package deal information", special honeymoon/destination wedding offers, and other informative literature.

    ___ Look into marriage license requirements, and confirm them with the local tourist board

    ___ Find a local wedding coordinator – resorts often have someone on staff or you may be able to find someone through the tourist bureau.

    ___ Put together a wedding guest list

    ___ Send "Save the Date" cards

    ___ Follow up with guests by phone to get a general head count

    ___ If you want a traditional wedding dress, find it now

    ___ Start considering the groom's attire

    ___ Start considering the wedding party's attire

  3. I've just come from the 'beach' in Birmingham uk city centre.  My feet are annoyingly sandy.  Make sure you have plenty of wet wipes for people to clean their feet with or they will be moody all day e.g. when they leave the sandy beach and are having a meal indoors.
