Beach and hotel 50 miles radius from Athens, Greece?

I am going to Greece, and I still can't find on the Internet a deal for a nice hotel ON or very near a [sandy] beach, or a vacation house for rent, some 1-2 hours drive from Athens. I wouldn't want to spend more than 1000 Euros for 2 rooms, or for a house with 2-3 bedrooms for a 8 nights stay of 4 adults and a little child. Can anyone reccmmend some nice location and hotel?

Try Saronida.  The beaches are beautiful.  I went there 1 time from Athens by bus.  It took like 2 hours though, but its worth it.  They did have some hotels.

A very nice and famous place is Nafplion in Peloponnese...there are lots of beaches and it's about 1.30 hours from Athens.
