where at the Dead Sea can you go like on any other regular beach, or are there only places like the spa's (ein gedi and masada?) and do you need to pay for that?

And can you put some mud in a pot and bring it with you or is that not possible?

  4. Hurley means your name is not a Jewish name. I don't think he meant anything bad by it.

Answer:  No, don't bring mud in pot if everyone did that in the world there would be no more mud!  Yes, I said that :)

  5. There are public beaches, too. Some have a basic fee.

" . . . Ein Bokek Public beach (Tel: 972-8-6594433), or Ein Geidi Public beach (Tel: 972-8-6594433), alternatively, Hamai Zohar Public Beach offers separate bathing for men and women (Tel: 972-8-6594433). The signature element of the Dead Sea - black mud, has both cosmetic and therapeutic benefits known to cleanse and stimulate the skin. Relive muscle and emotional tension; improve blood circulation and ease rheumatic pain at Ein Geidi Spa beach (Tel: 972-8-6594413). Visit Mineral Beach, which also includes a fresh water beach and public pool (Tel: 972-2-9944888). "

People generally put mud on themselves while they're visiting. They rinse off before leaving. (I'm sure it's unacceptable to actually take any amount out with you. If everyone did that, there'd be none left for next time.)

One can purchase Dead Sea products from specialized companies.
