Beach birthday party!?

My Son wants his birthday at the beach, I am trying to come up with cake ideas. Try remember this will be for a 4 year old.

i want to try to due some cute cupcakes. but i can not think of anything.

Why don't you push the cupcakes all together, into the shape of a sand pail, and frost them together on top (as though it were a cake) to look like a sand pail ......  Make some blue jello in little disposable clear cups.  When it's thickened, stick a gummy shark into each one (to serve with the cupcakes).

Frost the cupcakes with blue frosting (to look like water). Take a teddy graham and put it inside a gummy lifesaver (it will look like a float.  You can also purchase the cocktail umbrellas to have the teddy grahams lay underneath on the beach (you can crush up graham crackers and sprinkle them on the frosting to make it look like sand).

You could make plain cupcakes with like, little tiny umbrellas and beach balls on the frosting, which you should be able to fund at your local craft store. And look around for cute little beach/summer-themed cupcake wrappers. They even sell little sugar suns for cupcake decorating.
