Beach protection methods in new zealand? (needs some serious help)?

what are some of the beach protection methods you know?

i also need to know how it works, its advantages and disadvantages.

Take a course, like lifesaving courses, i know all that cos im cool,lol. Go in groups and make sure no one swims out too far. Or if you want you could take a harpoon gun to protect yourself from sharks... Either way. Im not sure of exact details sorry.

Are you talking about Surf Lifesaving or are you talking about ecological and dune restoration type projects?
