Can you recommend a nice, easily accessible place to stay on the Western Coast of Italy, and in the Italian Riviera?

  1. Sorrento. From there you can travel by hydrafoil (boat) further south.


  2. Give Cinque Terre a shot.  It is amazing!  Hotels.com has deals in La Spezia too if the Cinque Terre hotels are too pricey.

  4. Italy has a very long coast, west coast, south coast, east coast and isles...

    So, on the west coast you can visit Liguria: with genova, portofino, rapallo...; tuscany: Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Isola d'Elba, Lazio: Rome is not very far from the coast; Campania: Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi; Calabria, which I really love, : Tropea, reggio Calabria.

    Maybe you mean riviera di ponente or levante, which are west and east genoa....

    if you can be more precise I will help you much better.
