Beaches on the Italian West Coast?

Can you recommend a nice, easily accessible place to stay on the Western Coast of Italy, and in the Italian Riviera?

Sorrento. From there you can travel by hydrafoil (boat) further south.

Give Cinque Terre a shot.  It is amazing!  Hotels.com has deals in La Spezia too if the Cinque Terre hotels are too pricey.

Italy has a very long coast, west coast, south coast, east coast and isles...

So, on the west coast you can visit Liguria: with genova, portofino, rapallo...; tuscany: Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Isola d'Elba, Lazio: Rome is not very far from the coast; Campania: Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi; Calabria, which I really love, : Tropea, reggio Calabria.

Maybe you mean riviera di ponente or levante, which are west and east genoa....
