Beading Supply list needed?

Hi everyone...I want to learn how to make beading jewerly (baby's first braclet,etc..) and would like to know where can I go to find a list of supplies needed to make my own jewelry for me and my kids and anyone and everyone else....does anyone know of a website where I can get a list of necessary supplies and tools needed to do this????

I can give you a list of supplies you should have to get started....

if you want to work with wire, you should have:

-a good pair of pliers

-wire cutters

-an old emery board (to file down the end of the wire so you don't get stabbed)

working with cord or thread:

-good scissors (very important! I like to use those sewing scissors- the little ones with the orange handles)

-beading needles or, if the thread is thin enough and the hole in your bead is large enough, sewing needles (it's much easier to bead using a needle then just trying to stick the thread through the hole in the bead, trust me)

You'll also need lots and lots of fun beads, as well as findings (clasps and fasteners and whatnot). I suggest going to a Jo Ann Fabrics store if there's one near you, they have all this stuff for relatively good prices.

Supplies will vary tremendously by project.  BeadStyle magazine has some good how-tos online.  For each of the projects (most of which are only available in the magazine, which you can get at any large bookstore) have a supply list, plus in the back of the magazine there is a glossary of common techniques.
