What Kind of Knife does Bear use (Brand name and model if possible)

If you are looking for a good knife forget that $700 piece of hype. As another pointed out the guy is a fraud. Any true survivalist will know not to drink their own p**s. I live in a cabin in Alaska, I spend my days living in the wilderness. In fact I have to use a generator to produce the power to run this computer because there are no power lines out this far, only phone lines.

There are many good knives far better that the Bear Grylls knife. Gerber, Buck, Ontario Steel etc all make good knives suitable for survival situations.

You want a full tang, high carbon steel knife that’s partly serrated with a 6 inch blade and a quality handle that will not break and a guard to keep your hand from slipping down on the blade.



Bear Grylls is just playing on his fame to fool the less experienced. I have watched his show on satellite TV and laughed my azz off! If he was dropped off here in the Alaska bush alone he would die. For if he slept in a caribou carcass or deer carcass up here the bears would eat him! Only a complete moron would try to sleep in a dead animal like he pretended to do!

that guy is a dunce. I mean common, he drank his own p**s out of a snake skin.  if it were me i would have at least turned the skin inside out so i wasnt drinking my p**s and the inside of the dead snake.

I too think that Bear's knife is not worth it for the average person, but the reality is that it's a custom knife and they can charge for it.

My favourite knife is a Knives of Alaska, Alaskan Hunter series made with D2 steel, 110 mm blade and 120 mm handle.
