Bear attacks in bwca???

hi! im thirteen and im going to bwca (boundary waters canoe area) im like super afraid of bears were going from poplar to liz to caribou to horseshoe so i was wondering have there EVER been any bear attacks on either horseshoe or caribou because thats the two lakes were possibly camping at. thankyou sooo much! =]

  1. I camped on Caribou a few years ago.  We camped on the large point on the west side of the lake.  That night a bear came in the campsite and sniffed our tent. It then proceeded to eat all the raspberries on the point.  In fact the bear stayed the entire night and didn't even go for our pack.  He was still eating at sunrise and left when we got up.
