Bearded Dragon - Beard or?

Question

My bearded dragon seems to keep on sticking his throat out in a point, his throat just comes out, it doesn't turn black, stays white, and he just goes in-out-in-out and then stays out and lets it go back in again. I dunno why he's doing it :S

Hehe. I've heard this one before. It appears that your bearded dragon is just breathing. Theres nothing wrong with him so no worries. I have 4 bearded dragons myself and it seems like this do this every day, I think it might be a different type of breathing, maybe a type that amuses them, because only two of my bearded dragons do this. So all in all, their just doing some normal breathing.

mine does it its a sign of dominace and sticking out the beard is also a way for them to retain heat maybe he thinks a female is around or he feels threatend

mine does it all the time. hes showing u hes his own boss. or hes trying to impress himself thinking he will. trust me it gets funny after a while.
