Should I be taking my bearded dragon outside to be exposed to the natural sunlight?

  1. you dont have to. but if you dont have a UVB light, the beardie wont get the right vitamins he needs

  4. 30 min a day of natural sunlight is one of the best things you could do for your basking lizards. just make sure it also has access to shade and is safe from predators(i.e. cats and dogs) or wondering off. i almost for got UV-b lamps in indoor enclosures is mandatory!

  5. Yes definitely, they love natural sunlight and its good for the skeleton. plus whats better than sat on the grass with your favourite pet on a sunny day??

    p.s Remember to have a cool spot so your little friend can get away from the heat if he needs to.

  6. Yes. I used to have a bearded dragon and when I got it, the man I got it from said to take it outside as often as you can. They LOVE to bask in the sunlight and it is good for them. And I also had a UV light. I would alternate between using the UV light and taking it outside in the sun. So either, or both, is fine. But they really enjoy going outside!

  7. yes most defiantly they need the natural sunlight and also when beaded dragon sheds it should come out long and thick if not he needs more natural sunlight

  8. Just keep a very close eye on him you don't want him to ingest anything toxic (like fireflies) while outdoors.

  9. You don't have too as long as you have proper UV lighting in his enclosure.

    You can if you want to I'm sure he would enjoy it and it can only be beneficial.
