I have a 7 month old Beardie, Rocky. Both of his front feet seem to be limp and his arms are swollen right above his wrist. Since I've had him (got him 4mo ago) I dust his food with calcium. I also have all of the recommended heat/uvb lights. His appetite is find and is friendly as usual. What could this be?

  1. Imageshack>choose file>upload>use the direct link and just paste it here.

This can be several things. What was the last thing you fed your animal?

If it was a mouse or a large cricket you could have paralyzed it.

How long has it been like this?

If this is recent i would not guess MBD as you seem to be caring for it properly. What kind of greens/fruits/veggies do you feed it?

  2. It really sounds like MBD please post a pic so i can have a look

  3. could be getting sick.  Take him to the vet.  I had one that did the same thing and it died.

  4. Could be MBD or a number of other problems.

    Take him to a vet.

  5. First stop feeding spinach, it doesn't allow for the proper uptake of certain key nutrients. Look for a list of good foods to feed him on bearded-dragons.com or beardeddragons.org. I would suggest a visit to the vet, it could be anything from vitamin deficiencies to metabolic bone disease. Goodluck.
