Question:

Bearded Dragon troubles

I accidently droped a cermaic dish on my 2 and a half year old bearded dragons tails about 6 cm from the tip, there is a tiny slit and i have bandaged it up, he does not seem phased by it and carried on catching crickets after i badgaed it. will it heal by its self? and is it serious?

  1. bearded dragon isnt that a wild animal? if its hurt like that take it to

      the zoo or wildlife park  iam sure theres vets  ?if the non wild

      animal vets well do anything thou if u dont want go to the park

       or zoo give em a call iam sure they help u. i dont know about the

       non wild animal vets thou but if u want u can try.


  2. hi he should be fine i wouldnt worry to much teyre tougher than you think but do like holly says and get ssd cream from the vet just to be safe x*x

I would call the vet in the morning and ask about getting SSD cream.  When my beardie got a cut on his foot, my vet gave it to me.  It worked great and I have since used it on my rat and one of my hamsters too.  It helps speed healing and prevents infection..kinda like bacitracin, but that stuff can be toxic to animals.  Good luck..he should be fine, though.
