Question:

Bearded Dragon won't grow?

Hi. I have had my Bearded dragon for about 13 months now, and he or she still isn't even close to his full size. Only about half way size. From neck to the beginning of his tail, he is only 4 or 5 inches long. Is there a possibility that he is a runt, or is there something wrong?

  1. Could be a lot of things. Hard to pin point here thought. You did not say any thing about your husbandry so it is really hard to make a guess. You could be feeding him wrong, have the wrong temps/humidity, worng lights, his cage could be to small and on and on. Would need a lot more details to really know.

  2. theyll usually hit a growth spurt and get bigger.i have an orange female thats the oldest and is the smallest till recently.she just started getting bigger, now shea equal to the rest.

    Very helpful site.

He could be a runt, or he could not have the right heat, uv, or food...

  4. Mine took a long time to fully develope too, but it happened.

unless you really think there is something wrong take it to the vet. but only if you really think something is worng because i took mine to the vet and they charged me  $65 and said there was nothing wrong with her.
