i have 2 24 moth old bearded dragons that dont seem to like what they're eating. i feed them mealworms and crickets for live food and they love it-but when it comes to fruits and veggies they don't eat. I've had to switch to processed food. any new healthier foods would really help.

(the processed food is-flukers adult formula)

thank you soooooo much!!!!!

  1. Here is an extremely good list, it even has it color-coded by what should be fed daily, 2-3 times a week, rarely, and never.  http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.co...

  2. Ok, what u have to do is take something that moves (like a cricket, mealworm, super meal worm or wax worm) at the bottom and then put the vegs on top. The Movement will get the beardies attention then he/she might eat the veg.

Or what i do is spend time with him and feed veg by hand, its also a great way to bond with your beardie.

As a base you use cabbage, broccoli and butternut pumpkin. You may supplement this with snow peas, bok choy, choy sum, grapes, raspberry, melon, or mango. One item they all love is the dandelion flower.

Check out this site it has a full feeding guide: www.ukbeardeddragons.co.uk/feeding.htm

  3. Mine don't like crickets! Locusts are their fave!! They go mad for them!

Kurly Kal cabbage mine ones like,or nomal salad in packs.

It seems like your beardys are so full from their other stuff they don't want to eat the very healthy stuff! Give them less of the of the insects and formula and see if they will eat the salad,if not its not a problem!!

    Hope this helps

  4. My beardie loved kale lettuce. If you haven't always fed them fruits and veggies then they probably won't start now.

  5. It is not necessary for them to eat veggies, if you calcium dust their crickets and worms. But if you want them to eat veggies and fruits try not feeding them for one day then give them a salad the next day.  It could also be the lettuce you are giving them, use green leaf and collards for leafs and carrots, corn apples and  cucumber as fruit. (my bearded also enjoys mango watermelon, cantaloupe, and grapes.)
