Bearded dragon prices Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Question

I have a Bearded Dragon and i heard that it is gonna cost a lot to take care of what should i do because since there light are on 12 hours a day and a moonlight bulb at night and that it is going to raise my parents electric bill really high is there and light that still provide them with what they need but still promote what they need because i really dont wanna get in trouble and be forced to give it away because i dont want to do that please help me and email me if you know anything about it it on my profile!!!!!!!!!!!

The lights shouldn't really change your parent's electricity bill a lot. Maybe a few bucks, but nothing more.

dont worry about the lights, its not that much per month.....

all they eat is veggies and stuff so once the habitat is set up your only expense will be fruits/vegetables.  change the substrate (stuff on bottom, usually best to use ground english walnut shells) like 3-4 times a year, just be sure to scoop out the terds like once a week (depending on how many you have, maybe 2-3 times a week).

they are great pets because they are cheap when they are small, maybe $40-$60 @ a pet store.  they are very friendly (for a lizard) and gets to be pretty big and can be as much as $200 when you buy an adult.  they also live for like 25 years

i'm in the same situation and my parents don't even notice much of a change. (are you supposed to have a moonlight bulb)?
