  1. Most dragons don't really start to eat veggies until a couple more months (about 6) old on average. Try throwing a worm in with the salad, he'll see movement and investigate, eating the greens in the process. My guy like cantalope a lot, also carrots and tomatoes (don't give too often though), try different types of greens. Bearded-dragons.com and beardeddragons.org are great sites for information on diet.

  2. well the beardie is only a baby since it is 7-8 weeks old, at first they will only be interested in live foods like crickets, mealworms, etc. But as it gets older he will be more interested in veggies, just keep trying! Also dust all of the food, including veggies with a good calcium+vitamin supplement 2x a week, and make sure he gets 12 hours of uvb light, he is growing, so make sure you are doing everything right, keep offering the veggies, and try a variety of veggies and dont feed him one type of food too often!

  3. juvenile bearded dragons eat mostly crickets but as they grow they will eat the vegetables

  4. when it comes to young dragons and veggies, don't worry about it. If they won't eat them, it is not a big deal in the least. That is something that they typically grow to like. Some dragons never grow to really like veggies but it's always good to start early. w/ my new borns, I chop collard/dandilion/pok choy etc very very finely and leave it in a bowl 3x's a week. They may not even touch it for the first 2-4 weeks but in due time they start eating it. A breeder i bought some translucents from gave her baby dragons chopped greens everyday and the three I bought from her readily eat veggies and are probably 4 to 7 months old. As long as your dragon is eating crickets, it's all good. Just keep offering them, that's all you can do. There's no need to force feed your dragon veggies, that's extremely uncessary and can cause it to choke. When it's ready, it will eat. Also don't give it lettuces like iceburg, romaine, etc, they're way low in any nutrients. Stick w/ dark greens like collard, mustard greens, dandilions, pok choy, etc.

  5. try putting some crickets in with the veggies then maybe he will eat them, or if he has his mouth open quick put some veggies in his mouth, make sure he can see the veggies in his tank, put them in a low edged bowl, or something flat. if they can't see them they won't eat them, an,d since it is young it will be mostly interested in animal products, (crickets) as they get older they will eat mostly veggies but eat crickets everyday too

  6. I would recommend using a small or flat dish as stated and also try adding a peach. I put a slice of a peach in a dish and put greens on/around it with a little bit of calcium dust and then just spray it with water every 12 hours or so and it will be fine for like 2 or 3 days and then take it out. Each time you add new greens add more greens and less peach. I did this with mine and it worked very well. But maybe my bd just likes peaches? might try other sweet fruit such as mango or papaya. Also make sure that you are trying different greens not just collard greens. Try organic Kale, Mustard Greens, Romaine, carrots(not too much), lots of stuff. Id recommend using organic just to make it a little safer.

  7. as long as he is eating that is good, but maybe where ever you got him from, they didn't feed him veggies and he is not used to them.  maybe he will get used to them and eat them, but if not then that's ok, he just dosn't like them

  8. Maybe it doesn't like veggies.

  9. he will eventually take them...

this is how i started getting mine to fall inlove with romaine letuce..

take a corner, and stroke the sides of its mouth. It will open its mouth, and then just stick it in its mouth.. It will automatically eat it.  make sure its small enough, or it'll choke..

It will just gradually learn to like it.

You can try puttin meal worms and crickets in the vegies too...

also, just leave them in there, and make sure there good veggies, cuz they'll dry out.

It will just eat them after a while out of curiousity.. Thats how I got my beardie to eat its pellets, which have everything you need to feed it in it.. that means no lettuce, or bugs. But its reccomended to feed them a variety...

but yea, it will eventually eat it all

    DONT FORGET FRUITS!

  10. Maybe they don't like it. Keep offering it veggies and don't feed it anything else for a week and they will get hungry. They will eat it eventually. Tough Love...... Tough Love......
