  1. It can definitely be costly to run the light for a bearded dragon, but how much so really depends on how often you need to use the light. That is, if it's hot in your house during the day in the summer (or all year round depending on where you live) then you might not need to have the light on all the time, especially if he's near a window and can get sunlight that way or if you take him outside. As far as how they are compared to fish and rodents it depends on what kind of fish or rodent. Personally, I much prefer having reptiles to rodents because the tanks don't need to be cleaned as often and they don't smell nearly as bad. As far as energy efficiency goes, though, I haven't had any rodents that needed heat lamps (though I've had many reptiles and only a few rodents so I can't compare much). Bearded dragons do need very large tanks when they're fully grown, though, which can be expensive so consider that as well. I was lucky and a friend of my dad's just happened to have a 55 gallon tank that he didn't want so he gave it to us, but if you have to buy your own they're usually not cheap. Still, if you're willing to make the investment it's definitely worth it, they make awesome pets.

  2. well i really don't know. i wonder my self.

  3. Well they can be prepared to fish and other animals so you might want to move the animals in a safe place and they will think that fish or other animals can be food.
