Question:

Bears fans, when will the Bears realize that Ron Turner is a terrible Offensive Coordinator?

Ron Turner is a horrible Offensive Coordinator and even at Illini he sucked. He's a big reason why the Bears have a bad offense. If the Bears want to improve offensively, fire Ron Turner, and get an offensive coordinator who knows how to build and run a great offense, which is something Ron Turner cannot do.

  1. Lovie won't get rid of him, he gets attached to people (see Rex Grossman) & can't let go.

  2. i have to agree...people jump on rex grossman and the offensive line and certainly they are right to do so, but everyone seems to underestimate the horrendous playcalling of ron turner...he wasn't a good head coach at the college level and hasn't proven to be much better as a coordinator in the nfl, whenever i watch a bears game i start wondering what they are trying to do on offense and when the game is over i keep wondering the same thing...he hasn't had the good sense to try to protect grossman despite the fact that the o-line is horrible and continues to let rex self-destruct by calling for long balls rather than allowing him to build confidence with the short passing game...as a result, rex will no longer be the starting quarterback, at least for now

  3. I share your amazement at why the Bears stick with him. He's a great human being, but an unproductive offensive mind.  He was just as unproductive at Illinois.  It's part of the McCaskey plan to minimize salary expenses and maximize gate receipts.

  4. It's only fitting,that a terrible offense should have a terrible offensive coordinator,otherwise they wouldn't match

  5. really when are they going to realize they need a d**n new quarterback rex grossman is **** he can't play to save his life same with Klye Orton their interceptions r due to a lack of coaching by the QUARTERBACK COACH not the OC, the OC just calls the plays and those QBs should know where to throw it and where not to throw, and they have to know when to throw out of bounds instead of throwing it to a d**n defender.

  6. Buddy!!!! HOW  YA DOING!!!! i noticed that before he walked into halas hall..

  7. when they lose all their games 3-0

  8. The fact that they didn't realize it 3 years ago tells you all you need to know about the Bears brass.

  9. The Bears are a two headed dragon. The strong sure consistent defense and special teams on one side. The anemic and confusing offense on the other side.

It all starts with the front office, the offensive coordinator, and the last place to affix blame is on the individual players.

You could put any current NFL quarterback in that pocket, and the results will not change. The O-Line is suspect, play calling is comical and the cast of "receivers" is a total head scratcher. A mess from top to bottom.

The same reason we all got tired of hearing Lovie say "Rex is our quarterback" all last season...is the same reason we'll all be exhausted of Lovie saying "Ron is our offensive guru" this season.

    ugh

  10. Probably after they realize that going cheap on a QB isn't smart either. They also can't protect the QB because they have three receiving Tight Ends, and a receiving Full Back with nobody to help out with blocking. So you have tons of people who specialize in catching the ball on the feild and no time to get it to them, on a team who is know for their defense, which is on the feild 75% of the time because Turner calls low percentage pass plays on 1st and 2nd down and ruins any chance of moving the ball.

  11. finally u see it to man guess me and u r the only ones that see that lol hahahaha lol thats funny a homeless man
