Venice eh.  Snook live in shallow water, around mangroves, and other natural protective flora.  At low tide, wade out to the largest stand of mangrove available.  Use live shrimp, or shiny spoons. when the tide starts coming in, cast your lure, or shrimp as close to the stands of native trees you can find.  Wear a life vest, have a small f***y pack that contains extra hooks, weights, and shiny lures, and use spider wire as line.  I use 6 pound.  It is very strong, as well as abrasion resistant, and is the best line I have found for a long time.  OK, go for it. and good luck.
