Beaten Up favourite for Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup (Sponsored By Investec) (Group 1)
Beaten Up has been rated as favourite for the Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup (Sponsored By Investec) (Group 1) at Epsom in England on Saturday, June 2, 2012. The winner of the class-1 event will walk away with a cash prize of £170,130.
The going will be good in the 1 mile, 4 furlong and 10 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 14:40 GMT. A total of six runners have been confirmed for the event and their names are as follows: Beaten Up, Masked Marvel, Quest For Peace, Red Cadeaux,
Robin Hood and St Nicholas Abbey.
It seems that Beaten Up will manage to bring up another victory in his career, as he is in terrific form right now. He does not have a lot of experience, but that will not stop the punters from placing bets in his favour.
The longer distance to cover might work in Beaten Up’s favour on Saturday, as he has a very good stamina. He has participated in four events until now, winning three of them. This goes onto show the kind of momentum he is carrying at the momentum and
it will be quite hard for his rivals to prevent him from taking the top spot at Epsom.
However, the four-year-old gelding was unable to make a solid impression in his most recent run, as he finished sixth in it. He was not rated favourite back then, but was still expected to give a tough time to his opponents, which he failed to do.
Although things did not work out well for the William Haggas’ trainee last time, he has the tools to deliver a winning run at Epsom. He will be partnered by J Murtagh, who has won just a few races at this level and will be looking forward to a solid
run today. He is a consistent performer, as his strike rate is on the higher side. This will encourage the bettors to risk money on him.
On the other hand, Masked Marvel might also manage to attract some bets in his favour, as he is a decent runner. However, his recent form does not seem to be good, which is not a positive sign at all. This suggests that he might not manage to cause
any problems for Beaten Up in the race.
