Question:

Beating myself up over quitting a sports team years ago?

Years ago, I quit the sports team that I was on simply because I did not enjoy it. Since then, I have had a hard time finding peace with my decision that has labeled me a "quitter" to so many, including my parents.

Can you offer any insight, thoughts, or piece of mind that might help me become more comfortable with my decision to quit. Thanks

  1. You had different plans in life. If you were doing the sports for someone else you weren't happy. Everyone should strive to do things for themselves that make them happy. Otherwise nothing seems too worth it. I am sure you have gone through life since then and done better things and made choices that make you happy. Your not a quitter you just moved on with your life. If you parents view you as a quitter and dont support your choices then I am sorry to hear not much to say on that but just stay true to yourself. You will one day stick with something that you absolutely love and those sports teams wont mean anything anymore. You can always play them for fun if you do miss the sports themselves.
