behind Caponata, who has delivered a few extraordinary performances so far this season.
Caponata fascinated everyone with a couple of brilliant wins right at the very start of her career. After making a wonderful debut here in May, she perpetuated the good work to seal a comfortable triumph at Naas the following month.
Her last two outings were at Curragh, where she was runner-up on both occasions. Trained by D. K. Weld, the 3-year-old did nothing wrong, but remained unlucky. After finishing second by half a length, the Khalid Abdulla-owned could not add the finishing
touch and as a result, missed the gold medal only by a short head’s distance last time.
Under Pat Smullen, the 3-1 joint favourite led narrowly over 100 yards out, but Aidan O’Brien’s charge, Up, took the game away from her in the dying moments. Consequently, she had to face an unlucky loss in the Group 2, Irresistible Jewel Blandford Stakes.
After doing very well at the higher level, the daughter of Selkirk is fully pumped. The conditions are going to be no concern for her. So, there is no reason why she should not come up with a bold show today.
She is facing nine giants in today’s one mile, one furlong and 100 yards event. As per the program, the excitement will be begun at 15:45 GMT. The winner of this race will leave the park with a heavy cash prize worth €45,500.
Beatrice Aurore has recently run multiple good races in defeat. We expect her not to dominate the proceedings. Alla Speranza is another filly with a good chance for the home team.
